Mission Statement
Venture Crew 8 is a co-ed, fun-seeking, outdoor-oriented youth group whose goals include high-adventure activities and helping the community while allowing youth to blossom as leaders.
What Is Venturing?
Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age.
Venturing's purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults.
Who are Venture Crew 8?
Venture Crew 8 meets regularly on Tuesday evenings at 5:45pm at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. New members are not only welcomed, they are encouraged! Parents are also welcome to participate as adult sponsors.
We participate primarily in high-adventure activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, skiing and hiking, as well as overnight camping trips once a month. We participate in several trips each year, including our annual ski trip to Missouri in January, as well as the White River Canoe Race every summer.
